Re: BNP Wives.... (or even hubbies)

BB i am not going into the personal experiences on here as recounting them would make me appear more racist then i actually am but due to them my views have changed a lot in 10 years. Am i more stupid then i was 10 years ago or have i just seen and heard things i hadn't 10 years ago make your own mind up.

I don't, I see it as a perfectly valid rule of thumb. Ah well.

While i would usually agree that anything that starts with those lines is a strong pointer it is not always the case and that is the problem were it always so simple to identify we wouoldn't have some of the problems we do.

Is it sexist or malardist? :)

I think perhaps people do get more stupid with old age.
I've been an immigrant in a foriegn country, so were my immediate family, best time of our lives, yet back here (mostly due to believing the Sun - see, that stupid with age thing) my parents can be quite intollerant and racist.

There's only two things I look at the Sun for it must be said ;)

Calling people stupid is hardly a way to carry on a rational debate is it. Thats the biggest problem with the race issue in the UK it cant be debated in a rational manner as the various groups are too busy attacking each other to attack the problem.

It would be unBritish not to :D
Hmm, maybe that should be on the citizenship test? :D

Re the stupidity thing, well it is stupid to discriminate against someone you've never met based on their nationality (except the french).

If someone started ranting about bald people getting a fairer deal because they don't have to spend money on shampoo or haircuts, looking younger for longer because no grey hair shows (someone check Russ' ear and nose hair), how they should be forced to wear wigs to integrate with the rest of us who have hair etc because "you never see a bald person going to a barber's do you? What's with that? It's just not normal!" You'd think they were a bit stupid wouldn't you?

I don't think you can compare racism to baldness tbh and as far as racism goes it is reduced or increased for the vast majority based on their experiences with other races. I think i should clarify my position on this as my previous statements have been more sweeping then i intended i am more racist towards one group then i was 10 years ago not all groups. As for the media i don't read any of the press as i think they are all a load of toilet paper.

If someone is prejudice against people with a certain trait, whether it's where they were born, or how much hair they have, it's just as stupid.

If you're ripped off by one bald person, it doesn't mean all bald people will rip you off, likewise if you live next to a bad asian family, it doesn't mean all asians are like that, so to prejudice against a group because of the actions of some members of that group is stupid.

Look at the inability of the anti-Muslim lot to read even the thread title let alone the articles linked to, and so believed that a woman called the Bible unclean.
Or the megamosque e-petition where it clearly states that there is going to be no such mosque.
Intelligence and prejudice generally don't go together.

Oh and lets not forget the evil Muslim plan of raping women to turn the UK into a Muslim state by producing more muslims.
When the person who regurgitated that BNP propaganda was actually asked how it would acheive the supposed goal, they hadn't actually thought that far into it. It was something to try and bash Muslims with, and so that was enough for them.

I am not disputing there are some morons out there and i despise the BNP as much as you but it simply is not that simple a thing. Well to me it isn't to you it is highlighting really the problem and why it has no simple black and white answer.

But everyone in a race is not the same, if you make judgements on a race based on the actions of a few members of that race is that not racist itself? After all, if a white man (presuming your white) commits a crime against you then you would not judge that experience as indicative of all white men.

You would properly find something else (age, dress sense) that differs from you and apply that logic. When you have a bad experence of someone you find out that is the most obvious difference between you and them and use that to apply some sort of logic and rational to the event. Which is what happens if someone of a different race is negative towards you. You just need to remember that it was not the difference that caused the event, rather it was something else (i.e they were a jerk, stupid, ill-educated etc etc )
