Oh yes absolutely..! One of Proffesor Eric Laithwaite's inventions, the Linear Motor (AKA) the Maglev - british ingenuity, the ultimate in rapid, clean, quiet and eco friendly transportation. It's just a crying shame that the (short sighted) government (as usual) failed to support the concept - which has (alas) now gone abroad to countries with more foresight, sigh.....! :erm:

You'd only need 8 of those chips in one of these:

Although, I suspect it actually uses 32 x 8 gigabit chips instead.

If you can't afford one of those then you could try an ordinary Compact Flash card with a passive IDE to CF converter. It works and is quite fast too!
