http://www.amazon.co.uk/iZone-FM101-.../dp/B000RVQEPC Was looking a cheapo 1gb mp3 players and most of the ones on amazon were £15+ so I decided to spend the extra £5 and get a ZEN stone 1gb Ok so it lacks a display but i figured its a zen so even if the Fm transmitter turns out to be a piece of junk the mp3 player should be reasonable. |
Re: burning audio cds
Let us know how you get on with that transmitter - might look at one for the wife's Zafira.

Re: burning audio cds
Speaking of bumps, there's one on Bournemouth Road, very local to me and it always causes my CD Player to skip, no matter how fast I go over it or what kind of CD I'm playing! It's damned annoying!
I tend to use Verbatim CD media that I buy in a bulk pack of 100 and store in a CD-Wallet in my car, if you burn these max speed then they do tend to skip a bit and the player laser can't find the tracks generally if you're trying to start it off while moving along. |
Re: burning audio cds
More new cars should have usb connectors so we don't have to faff about with those round, silver things. Audi take note! flaming cheapskates.

What's a usb connector cost them? next to nothing that's what and then they could use it as a selling point for the car. |
Re: burning audio cds
its not just a usb connector though is it its the necessary electronics for it to do something. I take it you mean modulators not just a usb that will do nowt lol. Wouldnt the simpler idea be for car stereos to have a memory card slot and usb slot instead of the car itself ? ;)

Lets face it the decoding process is mostly software driven thesedays |
Re: burning audio cds
but a usb slot is useless unless its connected to some electronics to use it

Re: burning audio cds
but whats it going to do? it has to have a function. Your saying fit it to a car at no point have you said what its going to do. Does it have a modulator to send to fm or what does it hold your donor card details? your address? a memo pad what.
Unless of course you didnt mean fit it to a car and you meant fit it to car stereos of course |

Only thing that might need some more complex software is ipods. There are Headunits out there that can do this easily. |
Re: burning audio cds
ok so what you really meant to say was fit a car stereo with a usb slot not the car then. now if you had actually said that I would have understood but you didnt you clearly said fit it in the car as did UP ;)
