A near neighbour runs a small TV sales/servicing business - he swears by Toshiba.

We bought a 32" Tevion LCD at Aldi as a second set - cost £380 IIRC and we've been very pleased especially when I compared the picture to my brother's Sony Bravia. It comes with a 3 year guarantee too :)
