i used to be on AOL through cable, not BT.

i just want to know if they still do it, and what speeds they offer through cable now, and of course.... cost.

of course lol,

its just not there..... says 'phone for cable users......'

i did phone, and got some indian fella who didnt have a clue, said i could get 56k through cable, which is just a darn-right lie and stupid.

thought id ask on here, surely not everyone is on a bt line who uses AOL :)

although, this does seem to be the case.

they should easily be able to offer the 8mb service through cable, as virgin now offer 20mb through those same cables.

I suppose it'll be down to whether VM want to let AOL use their cables any more. Maybe phone VM up and ask them?

I enquired about that a few months ago. The cable has to b x-ntl. And they can only offer their top end package-which is, i believe, £28.
I was usualy blessed with some great deals by AOL as retention, but even in this situation they wouldn't break a deal with me. Except for loyalty, I cnt c y anyone would do that-VM turns out cheaper.
