They should be able to send a hit to your modem without having to come out. post in
blueyonder.support.access.hi-speed they should be able to help.

There is nothing wrong with that frequency, mine is on the same.

Acquire a Downstream Channel 402750000 Hz Locked

You will find that ex-NTL, ex-BY and even ex-C&W customers all have different frequency's.

402750000 Hz is an NTL frequency so Ichiban is probably in an ex-NTL area.

Yep I was just about to post after finding out the differences. he probably hasn't been put on the 10Mb properly or they have made him a member of the :wtf: group :)

That's not strictly true. as an incorrect signal could still give you a connection but at a risk of affected speeds and an intermittent connection.

It's not only me that doesn't know what they're talking about. it's the Virgin Media Technical Support people in the internal groups that don't. after all it's them that say the same thing. and it's them that are the ones who are altering customers modems remotely and changing the 'incorrect' signals. with good results reported from the customers from doing so.

Please don't insult both mine and their intelligence. and just say what you have to say without resorting to insults.
