Yes i may sound like a jackass but its your own indecisiveness that caused the problem.

I mean why cancel it all then call back the following day and change your mind?

Or were you just trying to make idle threats to haggle for a better deal and it back fired lol

first things first im on a very good deal with vm how i managed to get it i don't know even the cs people are amazed so you are way off my friend!

now i do belive its my choice on who i sign up with be it vm or sky if i want to cancel my tv with vm and then change my mind thats my choice!

i have given them the benefit of trying to sort out picture issues by resigning and cancelled sky again my choice nobody elses!

how in the hell do reckon its my fault that it took them over 48hrs to switch the channels back on?

I would be annoyed as well. VM really need to sort out the amount of time it takes for the channels to appear (or in your case re-appear). Why does it take so long?

this is how it works, hit to box dose not come through -we will send tech- if lucky -tech arrives tech phones /text- office ,dummy swap done on box -channels appear if lucky- if not swap box- still dont appear -tech passes to back office after that dont know:confused:

Actually, Virgin are still at fault, because they normally want 30 days notice to leave a service, so they shouldn't have removed the channels..

Not as far as I know. When I rang up to cancel mine they did it there and then (as expected). Sky are the same.

Well, when I cancelled BB recently, I had to give 30 days notice.

as you pay 30 days in advance you give 30 days notice as with SKY.
If you request immediate disc VM or SKY will of course oblige as you have already paid for the service.

Sure it is, but when you mess two companies about like this don't be surprised when you end up on the bottom of their to-do lists.

From my experience with Virgin media it seems many good and loyal customers are at the bottom of their list. :-)

I am a VM supporter Horace but I cant agree with you on this point. Every customer deserves A1 service.

I totally agree with you... every customer deserves A1 service. But my recent experience has left doubtful.

I tried to contact VM last Monday by telephone but was unable to get through to the relevent department. So I sent them a web response to which I received 2 emails saying they'd be in touch in 24 to 48 hours.

Now it's 5 working days later (7 if you count the weekend) and no response from them whatever. And if you combine that with the fact that I have no telephone service (due to a fault) with them at all... it doesn't make them look at all good.
