Good question Tod. I would like toknow that also.

And me. Now that HD footy is going soon, I'm eager for Virgin to give us ex-NTLers more HD VOD content.

Lots more content vanishing now, and not being replaced by anything. Good example of this is the BBC HD section, which now only has Bleak House and nothing else! Not very impressed I must say.

I think this is in anticipation of some more headend upgrades. I looked last night and my BBC HD VOD listings had changed from 5 pages ov content listed vertically into the alphabetical 'horizontal' format used by other VOD sections where there's a lot of content. I now have all of the content listed in the OP.

Shame about only 3 HD movies though... :(

We had three series of Spooks (Stockport) and now it's gone. And I'd started watching one of the series I had not seen. Assume it will come back.

Does anyone still have Alias series 4 in entirety?

"Does anyone still have Alias series 4 in entirety?"

Well we've only got series 4 episodes 5-10 on V+ box. On Samsung box (still on NTL EPG) then series 4 has only episodes 5 and 6. So across V+/V boxes there is a different at the same head-end. Having said that don't the two types of boxes currently use different head end servers for VoD?

Chris please explain what you mean about the HD footy going soon as i didn't think we had any:confused:

When i first subscribed i assumed all the Skys HD content was available to Virgin but when i questioned it on hear i was told we get none of the Sky HD so we have very little HD content at all :(

Never assume especially when the two parties concerned are business rivals. No doubt part of the stand off over Sky 1 etc it HD contentin reality.

Your right of course, never assume was the golden rule:D

At the moment, the BBC have been showing FA Cup games on BBC HD (and even that may not be around for much longer - its a trial channel and from what I've read, the trial may be ending in July).

BUT - a few weeks ago, ITV/Setanta Sports won the contract for FA Cup/England Home Internationals for the season beyond next.

And if ITV and Setanta don't have a HD channel up and running by then, that that bye-bye to the only HD Football currently available to VM customers.

Even if the BBC Trust gives approval for BBC HD to become a proper channel, there will be very little live football on the Beeb beyond next season. Sky & Setanta will have the Premiership; ITV & Setanta will have FA Cup/Home England games; ITV have Champions League (which can't be shown on the BBC due to adverts/sponsorship); Five have UEFA Cup.

The only live footy left for the Beeb will be major events like the World Cup and Euro Championships, and perhaps the Welsh home games along with the odd England away game (if the Beeb don't get outbid by Sky for them). Apart from that, the Beeb will have Premiership highlights (MoTM).

Thanks for the explanation Chris, so we're really only gonna be left with the On Demand.
However the footy tonight was not such a bad picture and the other channels are looking quite good to me:)

Is it worth complaining to OFCOM about the fact that the ITV/Setanta deal means the end of HD football for a lot of people?

Doubtful.

Not everyone who has a V+ has a HD Ready TV. IMO, the number of V+ owners who do enjoy HD content is probably not large enough for OFCOM to launch an investigation.

BTW, BBC HD Trial has been extended to November.

Makes you wish that VM won the footy rights to Near-live Premiership highlights on VOD - that content was won by BT Vision. Doing that on VM's VOD network (in HD??) would have been very nice. Ho-Hum.
