Re: Poor picture quality

Soccer AM on Sky Sports 1 has been very poor this morning in terms of PQ. Very pixellated.

I'm in Glasgow area.

Watching the Liverpool Man Utd game on SS1 the picture certainly appears more pixellated and an occasional 'stutter' every so often. (Just to clarify by stutter I mean that the picture seems to jump forward by a fraction of a second)

Re: Poor picture quality

I also noticed how poor Soccer am PQ was today and I think it must be a national thing because I could not be further from Glasgow on the South Coast. Must admit Liverpool v Mau U seems better.

Re: Poor picture quality

Also noticed that if I go into 'delay TV' the stuttering stops. Very strange.

Probably because the content is coming from the buffer on your V+ and not streamed 'live'. Gives it a chance to keep the frames in sync.

Manchester - the live match at lunchtime was awful. Looked like a streaming feed from the Web :-(

Re: Poor picture quality

Continuing through Soccer Saturday with pixellating and ghosting. Giving me a headache. Had to switch to BBC Interactive results service.

Whys that Sweepster? What did you tell them / what did they say?

I would have phoned up but thought it must be a national thing and not a box fault. As an aside - Nickelodeon was terrible today and I was cursing the V+ box / Virgin when I swapped over to Sky and found out it wasn't much better on there.

I told them that my picture was very poor, blocky and jumping. Even if it is a national thing Virgin have to know. My old picture off a pace box was very good, so it's the signal as far as I'm concerned. It has got a bit better this evening but I've recorded the United game which was fantastic apart from the picture.... to show him.

Continuing today as well. Goals on Sunday like a poor internet stream. Pity as USA (Marcus Hannehman) is on.

Re: Poor picture quality

Kids watching Disney - still as bad. All of the faces look Kryten from Red Dwarf due to the pixalisation :td:

Not good and not keeping it if that's the quality.

Re: Poor picture quality

All should report it to Virgin faults and make sure they flag it as poor picture quality. It'll be some kind of national fault which hasn't been noticed.
