For GODS SAKE!!!

BT seriously do suck, I had a technician out yesterday who confirmed internal wiring was the problem. He plugged his modem into the main socket and it picked up 5mb, but my hub was in extention.

He fixed it....but I still have the same problem!!!

My hub is now reading 5mb, so why is my pc only receiving 0.2mb? My cpu usage is no more than 1%, and after checking the speed on btspeedtester it actually confirmed that my IP should be getting 283kbps, when my downstream is 5.2mb. Does that make sense to anyone else? Why is my throughput so EXTREMELY RUBBISH? Shouldn't it be at least 4mb?

I think the hub is faulty, but after 4 hours and shouting to a manager, they still don't seem to think so. Got another technician for Friday, I'll make damn sure its working before he goes, or he won't be leaving.

I've had this problem for a month!!!

If you've been stuck at a lower speed for a while it will take upto 3 days of you keeping a stable sync @ 5mbit before your BRAS profile (the ip profile) increases.
