my computer has no trojans or viruses on, its checked every other time im online, every 2 days say! and im thinking about getting a new modem to see if that will help with my ping problems.....do you think a new modem might do it as im using the free one from virgin?

Something is definitely up with your connection, can you do a few tests to try and narrow this down..... (these are both american servers...)
Go to command prompt then; "Ping 208.100.14.229" and "tracert 208.100.14.229" You can select all and copy from cmd to post your results. Once you have done this i suggest loading up windows in "safemode with networking", (F8 on startup) . Repeat these tests and post both results. |

Its probably due to the fact that you didn't pay a connection fee. If you cancel within 12 months I believe this is then payable

If the service isn't upto scratch write to them stating this and ask them for a MAC. You should get it within 5 days. Also state that becasue the service isn't fit for it's purpose you will not be paying any admin/cancelation fees.
I'm 99% sure they have to give you a MAC now even if they want you to pay an admin fee any you haven't. Quote:
