Except that on Sky, even your most basic stuff functions perfectly.
On cable your lucky when it functions at all.

has there never been a response from ntl about the red button function, it worked last summer for big brother, so it must work when they want it too, big brother has bout 7 million viewers wouldnt it be in nlt`s interest to have this working and not lose customers to sky

Well I was told by customer services and engineers that have been out to look at my box to not use it as it's not supported.

But I don't think they are really supposed to say that....

I can't say that it not working is going to put me off getting my tvdrive on Saturday.

Is this more a digital problem than when analogue was the norm. One thing I noticed of late is that I seemed to get more lock ups and freezes during the gales of late. Is any part of the TV service carried by non cable source which can be affected by the weather.

I've never had any problems with the red button on my Sky box, and I've got the 1st generation Pace Sky Digibox, it's (a lot) slower compared to newer models, but it's never crashed using the Red button.
Only problem I have is it will very occasionnaly lose the EPG info, the picture doesn't freeze or jump, can't fault it.

You have NO idea how funny your post sounds ;) :)

Aside from the outsite of the box - the virgin one is the same as I understand it. And the software will be automatically sent out to 'rebrand' and I hope fix the issues the tvdrive has.

Now thats pretty interactive imo.

Maybe Virgin should have a marketing tie-up with their gyms and call the service "Virgin Active"!
