Just one thing Spiderplant. If it's noise on the network, what can a tech coming to our house do to fix it?

The tech should investigate the noise source. It could be that someone locally has connected a TV or suchlike directly to the cable feed and is feeding back noise into the local network.

Cool, no sign of Level2, but I called Faults again and told them that according to the forum I think we need someone to come around, and they're sendind someone on Friday morning! :-)

Just a note: Now everything seems to be working, VOD find (no more NDE01 error) and all channels seem to be there. But checking the diagnostics screen I still see:
Card Status: waiting
and CA IPPV Status : UNKNOWN

So I guess those status' were not relevant to the issues I was seeing?
