Re: special offer on camera

The old ones are the best "You get what you pay for"

Camera companies are doing a very clever job of selling very cheap very good point and click digital cameras and there great but one of there main marketing features are massive ccd's

5 meg is great if you want a4 size prints or want to crop a small portion and blow it up large or even use the dreaded digital zoom
Personally I would look around the last years models of higher speced cameras more features larger optical zoom much better cameras

look at these Fuji cameras the s5500 is excellent but the s3500 is also a good performer, Have a look at the Konica minolta DiMAGE Z3 im my opinion these are much better cameras for not a lot more outlay

i had the Fuji s3500, and I thought it was rubbish. Picture quality was grainy, shutter lag was AWFUL and lens bowing terrible. Personally, I would not touch another Fuji camera. I'm looking at getting the Panasonic FZ5. Excellent reviews. More than just a point and click, but has all the automatic features of one if you wanted to use them. I don't want a professional camera, especially at professional prices, but I wanted something a bit 'meatier'.

I have the s5000 and its a wicked camera perfect pictures no grain sequence shots excellent zoom wicked even at 10x you can keep it steady.you may have just been unlucky or me lucky but before i had a 1400 1.3 when it was 350 quid and thats still excellent now

But,but, but that's what the delete option is for on my digital camera.Out of 70 photos that my husband took last weekend I must have deleted at least 20 before I even connected to the PC.Too many feet because he couldn't remember the 20 second delay between pressing the button and waiting for the flash. :D

And I have a Kodak too.A DX3600. ;)
