Wonders if users of HJT keep a printout of their default log (create one on booting up a clean system) and use it as a reference for debugging. I certainly do.

One thing I have learned about Wayne is that he doesn't always post back to tell you what he decided to do after asking for advice or information. You never know though, you may get lucky ;)

Sorry people, i found a total of 6 viruses :Yikes: , and i deleted the msdev.exe file, I found it was a debugger for my PC, even though ive deleted it, Windows XP hasnt complained.

msdev.exe (as opposed to mdsdev.exe) is part of Visual Studio.
