Policy is with ntl if you want to upgrade then rent new modem at £5 per calendar month extra ( ie scrap old modem) as all they want is nose further in trough.

Well, no I think it was just the classic case of incompetence through undertraining. An extreme rarity I know but it does happen at times. |
