Is anyone aware of the true situation? Yes, I'm aware what it says on the website, but was told by the agent that it hadn't been updated.

Confusing, or what?

I've just spoken to one of the people who knows what they are talking about in Bellshill (Not many of them left) who thinks this is 'pish'

The only thing they could think of is that new people can get a discount on line rental for 12 months. A phone line will still be installed though.

I have heard nothing about the claims made in the first post.

I suspect there is confusion as suggested before over a 'free' 12 months phone line rental deal being offered?

No confusion, you can order ntl tv without telephone...

Somthing else I found interesting was that there is now a "mid pack" aswell as family pack and base pack. See: http://www.home.ntl.com/icat/tvpackages

Well I just tried it as well - and it does appear to allow you to order the tv without the phone. Obviously I cannot progress the order to see what happens.

It tells you you need to select a telephone package when you click continue after selecting a tv pack. It then redirects you to the phone packages.

Can u have Analogue TV without a phone line and just pay £3.50 a month?

Also can u have a phone line without Digital TV or do u have to pay for the TV for 12 months and then cancel it?

I think that has always been the case, not sure though (my thinking was that I know some cambridge areas have analogue TV, with BT teleco lines wrapped around them!!), but ntl dont "do" Analogue if you live in a digital area anyway.

I was thinking of the people who have stayed on Analogue even though their in a Digital area. Could they cancel the NTL phone line and get a BT line instead? If so, how much would the TV be?

Can NTL Broadband be had without the phone line to? I've tried putting my postcode on the ntl site but it keeps directing me to the Freedom products, why is this?

I get the mid pack showing on that link but it does not appear after I enter my postcode. Maybe only available in certain areas.

I still get the Javascript alert and it pops you back to the telephone services page.

*Price excludes your telephone line rental which must be purchased with your TV package.
