Not that I am aware of :)
How much quicker is Interactive with DOCSIS? I was shocked! :D |

and luckily my tv has audio out, so i could hook it up to my amp with no real worries. |
Re: new software in hatfield... false alarm :(
DOCSIS is quicker? Hmm.... Here's one for BBKing, then...
Presumably the Samsungs in original areas are using no-bia.cm -- which is 256/128, isn't it? Yet I remember reading that CR3 enabled the DAVIC modems to go to something like 3Mbit. So how come Docsis seems faster? |

Samsung -- OK + Left + Right

When using Interactive (that is, the Walled Garden), the bottleneck is usually load times rather than page rendering speed. |

Samsungs are faster because the box is faster (2 cpus to 1) and UBRs are better than Intersects, fundamentally. The code version is obviously different too, which may or may not have an effect. The end servers are the same in Langley areas for both DAVIC and Langley Samsungs (which took some sorting out, I can tell you, since of course all existing DOCSIS boxes wanted to talk to Bromley servers). And nowadays the latency in the IP routing is the same for practically all STBs, so that's not a factor. |
Re: new software in hatfield... false alarm :(
yep, it really is noticeably faster, i may start using it now...
