The problem is that NTL have such busy looking sites that it is hard to find what you are seeking.I think they need to try and make it easier to find things rather than confuse with too many colours and boxes.

Less is more should be their motto(well when it comes to their website at least).

:)

Lets say for arguments sake you have a closed area for certain invited subscribers only as a spin-off for this site - do you really want that publicised elsewhere and put into the public domain?

Surely the point is that maybe the public who actually HAVE to use NTL's site should have some input into the discussion.Goodness knows they don't seem to have asked us thus far.If they had I suspect they would have been told that virulent green and purple on a white background are a great turn off in a web site.AT least when it comes to signing up for services that dark blue is much better on the eye.

Absolutely - so everyone now is expressing a preference - 1, 2 or 3. I am sure they are not interested in whether you prefer blue - ntl are purple/green branding, and are just trying to sort out the best way of presenting this. Ask a million customers - you will get 2 million preferences.

The whole point is - when you are invited to state a preference, please do. If you are not involved in a trial, please wait until you are.

Actually I have not stated a preference,I've merely stated thus far that NTL have a tendency to go for overly complicated web pages and judging by the links they aren't going to change that anytime soon if that is the choice on offer for discussion.

So when I am allowed to offer an opinion it will be too late anyway. However if I can perhaps proffer my opinion NOW to those in the trial MAYBE there will be common sense prevailing after all.

? No-one is accusing you of stating a preference. You have already offered an opinion. If you wish to be involved in a trial, you are welcome to apply to have your opinion and preferences counted.

Meanwhile, those of you not included in the trial can state a preference or opinion here, which will not be counted.

Maybe I missed the point somewhere along the line, but I'm not expecting any of our opinions (from this vote) to be counted by anyone. As far as I can see it was just harmless internal vote to see which one people on this site liked.

No, you are absolutely right, Paul. In which case no-one here is going to be disappointed then.

Re: NTL reshapes it's homepage

Can I just remind everyone that if they have a problem with this or any other post/ thread on the forum all they have to do is report it, state their reason for asking that it be removed to the team and more often than not the team will act to close and remove any thread that may cause problems or offence. :)
Anyway, the topic in hand.....
I can understand people getting annoyed that confidential information gets sprayed about certain sites but this is not a matter of state secrecy and nothing we post on the new design is going to influence the decision unless a trialist that posts here is willing to take on the views of people here and integrate them into his/ her own choice.
I take it from your posts that you are a trialist Nikko? If so are you upset that priviledged information is posted here or is it just that you don't think we should be allowed a sneak preview of a site that may well not look like any of the screenshots when it is finished?? Let's face it, things get added and removed depending on the feedback given so the 3 screenshots may not even be relevant in a couple of days time.
There are often screenshots leaked of new sites or sometimes even links to sites that are still in testing, more often than not though the un-official feedback proves just as useful as the expexted feedback from the people on the trials team. It just depends on whether someone is willing to take that feedback onboard and filter it into their own.
These are just my own personal opinions which are only valid to me (others are free to have their own thoughts, opinions etc of what I have written ;) ) .... just like my opinion of the new site design :D

Although I voted for 3, it really does not mean anything, because the powers that be will choose their fav anyway.

And a lot of people may not frequent the page anyway, so does it matter? it is only an opinion!

Is it supposed to be secret information? maybe the latin means something! :D
