Re: ntl: Openness

That's the uninformative nonsense I was referring to to be honest.

Might as well just have a plain text page saying xxx area is shagged, we know, being worked on, sorry. For all the difference it would make.

All well and good making service status page look pretty and having a competition to design it it's still inaccurate at times and so vague it's of virtually no use anyway, besides maybe to patronise those who want more information.

The whole point of that page is to save calls to the TSB, as far as informing customers go no-one in the relevant departments seems to actually care and those who do are over-ruled by those above them, which is a shame.

FWIW I wash my hands of the whole thing and regret posting about it, could have made a cup of tea in the time I've spent on these posts, which would have been far more productive.

*yawn* :p: Said it a long time ago before you joined ntl m8 :D Said it again when ntl first attempted to redesign their service status page (over a year before they actually launched a redesign).

Unsurprisingly, I was ignored by my own management and management in Swansea.

Heh you should watch yourself m8, that is the kind of thing HR people have wet dreams over. "The most bypassed department in our company" someone said to me today

I think you will find with some large companies that HR is bypassed because they are in-affective and they appear not to know what they are doing.
