Isn't the the innate knowledge given by the creator the same thing as instinct anyway?

Besides, these people obviously hadn't been reading their bible, just look at all this sex. Anyone would think it was written by Mills and Boon :D

Hmm, but stone age man (or whatever period in history before we were really up to speed on Biology) did not necessarily associate the pleasurable act of sex with babies as the two were a good 40 weeks (whats all this stuff about 9 months) apart and I imagine some had fertility problems then, so it happened to some women not others etc.

An instinctive act, historically I would imagine that it was partly learned by seeing others doing it, after all do the apes "get a room"? Or get on with it?

Instinct is defined as :
An inborn pattern of behavior that is characteristic of a species and is often a response to specific environmental stimuli.
A powerful motivation or impulse.
An innate capability or aptitude: an instinct for tact and diplomacy.

Seeing and learning negates instinct.. the two are incompatible.

Nit-picking aside, I don't know if Towny wishes to begin the whole "stone age man/apes" debate. ;) ... but we'll see.
