Make sure if/when you book Stuart that you let them know how tall you are - it makes an awful lot of difference about the right horse for you. :) |
Re: Horse Riding
Horses are cool !
I used to help out at the stables in the holidays and many people would come that had never ridden before. There are often initiation lessons where you will be taught how things work, etc. If you are near the countryside or coast, you might like to try a nice trek out somewhere. We used to take kids and adults on a 2 hour trek through the woods and fields. Its very pleasent and you get to admire the view and get a feel of what its like. I defiately reccomend it. Just make sure you wear old clothes as you get dirty easily. |
Re: Horse Riding
Thing is Stu, are they going to find a mount who will be able to take you cos you're about 10 foot 5 or something like that
Glad to see OB and I are on the same wavelength ;) |

Evil bugger as well - I'm sure it purposely walked towards every low branch to try and knock me off! My brother was looking after a pony with a cough - it was a little hoarse :erm: |
Re: Horse Riding
Just be careful though Stu cos the horse might have other ideas about going for a walk out. Thinks back to Majorca and what happened to bb31, I nearly fell off my horse laughing

Re: Horse Riding
A serious word of advice, if you want to do it, do it *soon*.
Someone suggested getting on a donkey on the beach, but there's one small problem: there are virtually *NO* such rides left because the cost of insurance has gone through the roof see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programme...ch/3669025.stm for details. I doubt it will be very long before many horse stables go the same way because they won't be able to afford the premiums :( |
