ROYAL FAMILY!

I've said it before and I'll say it again ... two words for you all:

CONSPIRACY THEORY! ;)

The beauty of conspiracy theories is you can pick and choose your evidence, and where there are gaps in the proof you can simply appeal to a 'cover-up' by the authorities. Thus, they cannot be disproved, thus, in the minds of the conspiracy theorists at least, they are therefore proven fact.

I know! Diana's death in '97 was actually staged. She and Dodi had secretely travelled through time to the Titanic, which was sunk by a giant iceberg placed there by the American Secret Service.

You say Time travel is not possible? Of course it is! What do you think they have at Area 51? Oh, and JFK was in on it, which was why the American Secret Service shot him..

Ohh, I think I see a strange black van pulling up... There's men in black suits wearing sunglasses getting out and heading toward me... :disturbd:

BTW, the above is a joke, but is no more or less plausible than some of the conspiracy theories I have heard.

Actually (IMO) the beauty of Conspiracy theories is that they can never be disproved, because if you do disprove them, people will just believe you are part of the conspiracy..

As for the Diana story? I believe it was an accident (sad - even though I didn't particularly like her), but I remember reading a few things about it at the time that do not add up.

Did she die simply as a result of an accident or was she murdered? Another rarely heard theory is that she did not die.

Believe what you want to believe. Listening to the media doesnt mean your listening to the truth

its all utter buill****, the car entered the tunnel too fast the driver lost control. Simple as that.

Had they wanted to kill Dianna they had much better opportunities, and why kill her? it would achieve nothing, she was already divorced.

Not in the eye's of the church she wasn't. Had Charles wanted to get remarried in a church/chapel then theoretically he wouldn't have been able to if she was still alive regardless of any civil divorce proceedings (unless I guess they got married in the church/chapel in Windsor Castle that is outside of the Archbishops 'jurisdiction'). But I'm inclined to agree with you, it is bullsh*t, as far as I'm concerned it was an accident and the head of Scotland Yard has plenty of crime figures to be fiddling instead.

Charlie could have had a church marriage as he was technically a widower, but Camilla's ex is still alive, so it was her status as a divorcee that prevented a church wedding. They were legally married in a registry office wedding, and then they had a service of blessing at the chapel.

Blessing of a civil marriage is the means by which the Anglican church fudges its own rules to get round that rather inconvenient ban on marrying divorcees. And they wonder why their moral authority is draining away.

Anyway, that was all OT ... the Royals are a bunch of inbred idiots, I can't believe they have it in them to mastermind a plot to bump off Diana. Accident, pure and simple. Sometimes I wonder if some people secretly wish life really was like a Robert Ludlum novel.

The fact that one was a divorcee as opposed to a widower doesnt stop them getting married in church. It all depends on the parish the church is in and the principles that are held in that parish.

Hence the joke:
Q. Why is an Anglican church like an express checkout?
A. Only 10 Articles or less ... ;)

I found it interesting that it's taken over 6 years just to get an inquiry. How come Prince Charles ( her husband) wasn't banging on doors to demand a full investigation immediately after her death?

A 6 year delay gives plenty of time for evidence to disappear and for witnesses to die or be got at. Or simply just to forget what happened.

Perhaps Charlie knows something that we don't. ;)

Somehow I find that very, very unlikely. You are after all considering the only man in modern times to find himself a place at University on the strength of about two bad O levels.

Yes - that it was no more than a tragic accident which just happened to have some circumstances that some people thought were unusual.

Which sort of proves he knows something we don't. :)

Eh? What have the sexual mores of his admissions tutor got to do with Diana's death? ;) :D
