My sense of humour is still here. :)

I'll freely admit that Man Utd were absolutely **** tonight.

I just wonder why people who claim to support there team don't come on and say how great there team played.

Anybody? I cannot find a link anywhere that lists this as one of Fergie's quotes from last night.

Steve_NTL, where did you see this quote?

Russ 14-08-2003 08:55

How many of United's regular first team were playing?

Well I'm not going to use the excuse of 'it wasn't United's stongest team', but put it this way - if it really was a major concern for us, it would have had a little more press coverage than that.

gazzae 14-08-2003 09:11

Also Stoke played a mostly reserve team as well.

Didn't mention it last night, but well done to Stoke. They played really well.

Just found Fergie's quote..

Quote:

We created our own problems, the grass was a bit long but we should have been hitting our passes better

;) He left his excuse calendar at home. It was the only one he could think of at short notice :D

Anyway if i remember correctly I believe he's used that one before :p

At least he didn't say that the players couldn't see each other because of the colours of their shirts!

One more thing, the pitch was near perfect :)
