I've always had an issue with the term "unlimited".

I think that capping speeds, is limiting the amount of data I can download in an hour, therefore is simply wrong.

Put it this way, I could download (purely made up figure here as for illustration purpose) 1GB in an hour.

If VM (or any provider for that matter) caps my speeds, then I won't get that 1GB in an hour, therefore they have limited my ability to download.

I guess there argument would be that they're not limiting the amount of data I can download, just the speed in which I can do it.

I really wish someone would challenge this at a high level and stop this practice of offering "unlimited" anything, when there are limits behind it (I'm not just talking about mobile data here).
