Robin's speed test cannot be considered reliable for 10Mbit services, its' sample sizes are too small.
Suggest you try ADSLGuide or a different speedtest. |

Well third time Lucky, called CS again spoke to a nice Scottish lady Maria, said That I would like to upgrade and "She said it's on trial at the moment I don't know if I can upgrade you" it went quite fro two minutes then she came back and said "OK you are now on 10MB" reset your modem and wait 5 minutes

SB 3100 from 1mb at peak time to 6mb at 7AM Swapped it out for the NTL 120 in loft, Same results. bandwidth meter up and down all over the place, network clearly saturated. |

great yarmouth here, 970ish KB/s with net card set on autodetect and between 470 and 680 with card set to 10mb half duplex.. think i'll stick with the auto detect..;)

Modem says 10mb but getting inconsistant speeds of somwhere between 5.5mb up to 8.0mb. May ring up NTL.
Just got Quake 4 demo download from a yahoo server and got a blistering 1150k a second on the download which works out at just above 10mb [mod edit (Chris T)] No off topic chatter please. :) |
