Yes, Ive watched all three, and yes, enjoying it.
It got off to a really slow start in episode 1, but once it got going, it became much better, and continues to be in 2 & 3.

Re: Fall TV Schedule 2021/2022

Watched the first episode (Cowboy Gospel) of Netflixe's live remake of Cowboy Bebop. Favourably impressed. They've got the "feel" right, we're introduced to the first main characters: Spike and Jet and they work well. It'll be interesting to see how the character Faye Valentine developes.
Spoiler:
At the moment she's locked in Bebop's lav as she was at the end of the anime's first episode.

We'll watch the next episode (Venus Pop) tonight.

Second episode holding up OK.

Pity they didn't use the closing credits music: The Real Folk Blues.

No idea why you thought that second line needed a spoiler, its hardly earth shattering. Shes back in Episode 4.

Seems the later episodes do use the closing music, just not replicating the monochrome stills style.

Your loss GM but as it involves magic wouldn't suit your necessary "REALITY" feel so I can understand.

it's not that, I enjoy this kind of fantasy stuff if it is done well, it is just diabolical acting, it is so wooden. I persevered and watched episode 4 but I can't go on anymore.

Re: TV Schedule 2021/2022

It has taken me a while to catch up but I have finally got around to watching The 4400. I gave it one episode and ditched it. Putting the PC and BLM aside, just the whole way the situation is being handled is pathetic and completely unrealistic and it killed my realism factor so it it gone.

Same goes for Station Eleven which is a shame, I was really looking forward to that.

Paul 13-01-2022 01:19

Re: TV Schedule 2021/2022

Well I gave the 4400 more than one episode, but dumped it way back in November, just boring PC/BLM drivel, nothing like as good as the original.

Yeah, a decent voice actor. They should of tried to get the voice actor from the games.

Yakamoz - possibly would have been interested, if it were in English.
Man who fell to Earth - well the trailer looks mediocre at best, but I'll give it a try.
Dark Winds and Shining Girls - No thanks, one looks like a horror, the other, not really sure, but neither looks interesting.

Well I watched the first episode of this tonight.

I wasnt expecting much as I saw the back door pilot in Nancy Drew
(they went full pc/woke mode and turned a white teenage straight guy into a black twenty something gay guy).

It was pretty dire - I mean it was really bad, worse than 4400 remake bad.
I lost interest inside 15 minutes, and started doing other things while it played in the background.

I normally like to give a new series at least 2 or 3 episodes, but I dont think I can with this, it was awful.
