You're not being a dunce on this forum, i asked the same question a while ago and was given this link to the BB codes, i am surprised it is hidden away and my hope would be to have an embedded video button on future updates of this forum to make it easier because if someone doesn't do this often enough it can be difficult.

I knew it was to be animated, but it looks dreadful.

The style and look of the characters looks a bit like despicable me.

sure does, I bet it is going to come close to the $2bn mark at the box office and I bet it is going to beat Star Wars this year. I think it is going to be the second highest grossing film of the year behind Endgame.

You cannot have watched many crap films then. :)

It looked very much like a childrens film, probably not something Id go to the cinema to watch, but maybe download a some point and try.

There are lots of weird and wonderful ideas out there. Some people think you can watch Guardians 1 and 2 back to back and wherever you want in the list of films. I originally watched them in release order at the cinema and chose to do so when I have gone back and rewatched them in the run up to Infinity War and Endgame. The only tweak I made is not watching Hulk at all because it is a different actor and spoils my realism factor and I watch Captain America first. Although I know what is coming, because the Marvel movies flow into each other and stories and characters crossover I like to watch CA:TFA first because it sets up SHIELD, has more significance and lets you appreciate it more when you hear about it in Iron Man. Other than that I stick to release order, I think you appreciate it more as references are often made to the events in previous films such as this new Spiderman film strongly references Endgame and Thor (3) Ragnarok, despite appearing to be a standalone film, references Avengers 2 and one of the best moments for me in Antman and the Wasp is a scene which references Civil War.

Cheers for that.

I have seen all of Phase 1, and possibly Phase 2, can't remember if i have seen Age of Ultron though, and have only seen 3 in Phase 3, it random order.

Think i need to fire up Kodi while the other half is away!

Re: Films to see in 2019

If you are wanting to watch Endgame at the cinema i cant suggest strongly enough how much better it is going to be for you if you start right at the beginning. You might think you remember everything from Iron Man and Captain America etc but you will be amazed the difference it makes starting from scratch. The excitement and anticipation builds with each film and you become completely engrossed in them as you realise it is all one big story. I did it last year for Infinity War and it felt fantastic. I wasnt planning to do it this year but fate said otherwise and i broke my wrist so i had nothing but time to watch them. I timed it just right so i finished Black Panther and Antman and the Wasp on the Wednesday Endgame came out and then i went to see the doublebill with Infinity War. It was a magical experience. (I had seen Captain Marvel four times at the cinema recently).

I know what you mean. I know it is supposed to be a sequel to T2 so it makes sense that the T1000 or whatever he is is the bad guy to beat but surely it is going to be the case that they don't stand a chance and everything they throw at him only slows him down at best and we'll be waiting for some quirky finale where he get obliterated in a new creative and effects-costly way?

Stephen 23-05-2019 21:17

Re: Films to see in 2019

Not sure model number he will be, however it lookslikea cross betweem the T-800 and T-1000. As it has an exo skeleton cover in a liquid metal that can come off and work independently.

Think it maybe the music that's not doing it for me.

Got to agree. Nothing in that trailer to get me excited. I've watched all the reboot attempts. Too many time lines. Not sure what is linear and what isn't anymore. Too much hassle. Maybe this franchise needs terminated?

I'm a big Rambo fan but this film from the trailer looks crap it doesn't grab the whole Rambo appeal for me and just looks like any other action movie.

I think Angel will be way OTT.

Re: Films to see in 2019

yeah, I think it is going to be very 24-esque and kill my realism factor. You get the impression from the trailer that just because he is the only secret service agent to survive an attack on the president that he is under immediate suspicion. You would think that given his history and what he has done that he is beyond repute and the one person they can trust implicitly and want by the president's side 24/7.

Stephen 13-06-2019 12:00

Re: Films to see in 2019

That would be easy and wouldn't make for an exciting film. Look at Mission Impossible, Ethan Hunt is always under suspicion and has to prove otherwise.

The more I see and hear of The Lion King, the more I thinks it's going to be the best of Disney's live action remakes. Maybe as it's just cgi and there are no human actors on screen.

Re: Films to see in 2019

The Lion King as in the pure story is amazing anyway and to translate that to live action with the music and songs as well is going to be phenomenal. I hope it is the highest grossing Disney film ever because it looks like it should be.

It's not on the main list but it is out on 26th July if you are interested. I love watching films like this because we always think that technological leaps like this (e.g. solar power and wind turbines) come around with people sitting down and assessing needs, debating options and developing logical and planned solutions and all too often we don't realise the adversity and struggles they endured.
