Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?
There are parts of Lincoln that are still on 16 qam but there may be 4 upstream channel to chose from .If the noise got really bad then the cmts would use qpsk but it has to be really bad for this to happen . Question for those in Lincoln when the modem drops its speed do you loose any of the downstream channels ? Also do you see the upstream power levels increase :D

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?
My internet connection is down. I have tried rebooting the shub and i am just getting a flashing green light. I am going to ring up and find out what is going on.
I have just spoken to the ming mongs and apparently it us scheduled maintenance and it will be back up at 15:15 |
Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?
Just checked my Hub 3 and noticed I have 3 Upstream and 24 Downstream channels.
|
Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?
you got my hopes up then. I just ran upstairs to check mine. I have rebooted the shub and I am still on 2 upstreams and 20 downstreams.

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?
I have no idea, since I'm at work :)
I'll check after midnight when I get home. |

just checked mine again and I am still the same. Annoyingly for you they still haven't fixed the power issues.

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?
nice, it has taken them flipping long enough but hopefully all your problems are sorted now. I have just checked mine and nothing has changed.
|
Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?
I have just been taking some screen shots to help out another user and was pleasantly surprised to see that I am now on 24 downstreams and 4 upstreams. Three are qam64 and one is qam32.

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?
Still on 24 Down, 2 Up here ........
|
Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?
hopefully they are moving in your direction. The thing which I am most pleased about is that it looks like they have finally sorted out the noise problem which has been present since flipping August and they denied existed. My upstream power shot up to 50 and it is back down to 41 now. If I remove the fpa they put on my shub it will be 45 which is what is always has been.

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?
20/2 here and 200mbit only in my area :(

Just had a look at the shub and I am getting T3 timeouts on three of my upstream channels. |

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?
It is a shame Paul is out of the country because ut will be interesting to see if thus us just a Lincoln issue or if it is coming from Nottingham.
Looks like whatever the problem was has been resolved https://www.cableforum.uk/images/local/2018/02/19.png |

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?
This evening my download speeds in Lincoln have apparently been fixed, however, it may change tomorrow. Since August I have had engineer visits and super hub changes to no avail with speeds rising from 9 Mbs to 42 Mbs on a supposed 200Mbs contract. This evening I was suffering an internet outage and re booted the SH3 and voila I am now getting as of this moment 384.33 Mbs download and 21.09 upload. I did renegotiate my expired contract last week and was given a 300Mbs upgrade, but only this evening has the speed arrived, whether it's the same tomorrow could be another story. Hopefully the saga is over.

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?
sounds like they fixed a long standing network fault which has taken them a while to diagnose.
|
Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?
I hope so, speeds still ok currently 336 Mbs as I write this.

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?
I got up today to find our internet running on the backup Sky connection.
Looks like the Virgin connection died sometime during the night (or morning) and didnt come back. A full reboot of the Hub seemed to cure it. |
Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?
Well this a blast from the past, my connection is very sluggish this evening and reminiscent of 10 years ago
