Vettel done it again and cuts across another drive and loses rear left wheel and suspension, on the way back tothe pits after the race.

Might need a gearbox change, thus a 5 place grid penalty

Still a long way to go yet as its only going to take 1 car retirement and Vettel is right on Hamilton's tail.

I have to admit after looking at this i would have to say it was Lance Strolls fault and he just didn't see Vettel, i would have loved it to be Vettels fault again though.

I am surprised Lance didn't get a penalty for that mistake.

I did see the crash and it looks 50/50.

Oh and yeah Snoopz, I'm anti Ferrari, as they seem to be very lucky with penalties

Lewis must have enough points in the bag to win the 2017 championship now, i can't see him losing it.

Re: 2017 Formula 1 Season Thread

Well Lewis is 59 points ahead, with 4 races to go.

On paper Vettel can still win.

Yes he can still win but the bookies rarely get it wrong and their view is he is he is home and dry.

Re: 2017 Formula 1 Season Thread

Oh year for sure, but his engine & bits are the last before penalties (20+ grid places)

Re: 2017 Formula 1 Season Thread

With 100 points available from 4 races, if Vettel was to win them all, Hamilton needs to claim 42 points, a 4th and and 3 5th's would do it, or with one DNF, 2 3rds and a 4th.
Unless Hamilton gets hit by some bad luck, it's all over.

Fool, unless something changes a lot, McLaren will not be winning points again next year.

Hopefully a different engine will improve McLarens points next year, it was the best option they had for an engine.

Hamilton is on pole for the US race, if he wins and Vettel finishes lower than 5th then he will clinch the title today.

LH has been on the front row 117 times to Schumachers 116 :D

Didn't like the US Wrestling style intro.

Oh yeah 117 front rows NOT 115.

Lewis WINS.

66 points ahead 75 remaining :D

All weekend track limits have been ignored, yet when it goes against a Ferrari the rule book is enforced.

FIA - Ferrari International Assistance to the rescue yet again.

Max over took on one of the last corners, and going off track.

This 5 second penalty cannot be appealed :mad:

Schumacher was 32 when he won his 4th title, he won his 7th in the next 3 years, Lewis is also 32 and won his 4th.

Sad day for F1, as Felipe Massa announces at the end of the season he will be retiring from F1.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/41870426

He will be 36 at the time of the last race in Abu Dhabi, and his career stats are:

267 starts, 0 World Titles, 11 wins, 41 podiums, 1160 points, 16 Pole Positions, 15 Fastest Laps. His first GP was the Australian GP in 2002, his first win came at the 2006 Turkish GP, and last win was the 2008 Brazilian GP.

No in my mind as Vettel is a red hot favourite to win this race.

Hom3r 12-11-2017 18:45

Re: 2017 Formula 1 Season Thread

Vettel's had a easy race, the only reason he's favourite to win is Lewis started in the pit lane.

---------- Post added at 17:45 ---------- Previous post was at 17:20 ----------

Deserved driver of the day is Lewis.

From last to 4th :D
