I think they do march on Den, just in a different way to how you're thinking ;) The money from sales does get reinvested and they have been climbing the table with different managers each year since promotion. Wenger gets plaudits for his top 4 finishes each year regardless of the difficulties or lack of signing extra players. I see no different to how it is at Southampton albeit mid table vs elite squad. where are Liverpool venturing?

LVG has told the press Valdes is to be sold after refusing to play in the reserves last season. What was he expecting when he joined the club? Did he really think he would play ahead of De Gea? I like LVG's ruthless streak, but we really do need to sign a keeper now...

other reports are of De Gea being told to see out his contract if Man Utd play hardball. asking silly money for someone in his last year but then you don't always give in from the get go. the process and strategy will come back to haunt them if they take too long peeing around. AS are reporting RM are asking €90m for Ramos, MU have offered €45m link De Gea no longer involved in the deal. ---------- Post added at 23:58 ---------- Previous post was at 23:48 ---------- Quote:

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
I can see them making De Gea see out the rest of his contract, especially after what's happened over the last few days with Lloris and Valdes. If they're only going to get a small fee for him they may as well wait. Marca reported the other day that Madrid are happy to wait as well. I think it might all depend on how serious Ramos is about wanting to leave, if he actually does then I don't see why either club wouldn't want De Gea as part of the deal.

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Few bookies just suspended betting on Charlie Austin to join Newcastle. Austin and Mitrovic? £45 million on three players? Fat man is keeping his word. The revolution v2.6
I was mistaken about the actual budget though. We understood there'd be 60 million available. That however appears to be 'spare cash available on the accounts in may, it now appears with that taken into account plus a ridiculous TV deal the actual budget is closer to £100 million. Or to take the board room quote ' Six Players' Bas Dost fizzled out after they suggested we pay £30 million.. Spread the word though. The fat man's pockets are leaking. There has to be a balance though. We're not asking for the ludicrous Freddy Shepherd spending. We're asking for players we actually need. Players like Sissoko are solid. The defence can go. Ayoze Perez is simply brilliant, this lad is genius. He's not Messi but if you watch him it's clear he's trying to head that way. He can't just be benched when megabucks players come. Ronaldo Aarons too. His performance against city in the league cup is enough to convince anyone he's going to be special. |

Adz.
Mbemba wanted as well as Mitrovic? both players have been light training according to this. Wolfsburg & Atletico Madrid are in intereted in Mbemba too. €10m (£6.9m) for Mbemba is putting clubs off http://www.hln.be/hln/nl/923/Sport/a...derlecht.dhtml Mitrovics transfer offer from Newcastle. €16.5m-£11.5m transfer fee. €2.4m-£1.6m salary net 35k + bonuses of (conversion rate a bit off) 10,000 pounds (€ 11,700) per draw and 20,000 pounds (€ 23,500) per win + €2m-£1.4m signing on fee. Former club Partizan Belgrade will receive 20% of the transfer fee. Anderlecht to get 5% of any future transfer out of Newcastle. http://www.dhnet.be/sports/football/...708aa437073d57 Mitrovic could earn between £60-70k also Mbemba has 4 birthdays  http://edition.cnn.com/2013/02/01/sp...otball-mbemba/ |
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
The original link between Mbemba and Newcastle was a northern journalist merely suggesting Newcastle take a look at him. Not sure if it's still just paper talk or genuine.
Not sure if Charlie Austin was a backup bid or whether they'll still pursue him now that Mitrovic is travelling for a medical. He could do a Remy yet, maybe Newcastle will pay for his travel and he'll end up in Chelsea instead. |
Re: Football Season 2015/2016

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Steve McClaren has made a statement that there's still a few signings to go and are far bigger and more surprising than Mitrovic, Gino or Mbemba
I think that's a massive hint at Charlie Austin or Saido Berahino but he also went on to say a few of these signings have been kept massively under wraps and will only be revealed once it's clear they can't be hijacked.. See Loic Remy. Mbemba to be confirmed tomorrow anyway. |
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Well I have seen some substitutions in pre season games but have never seen the full 11 changed at one go, then the second 11 walk right through Barca and score in less than two minutes. United 2-0 Barca.
3-1 final score, seven of United's 11 subs came through the youth team, mind you Barca did hit the post 3 times and Messi and Neymar didn't play. |
