Yes it will certainly be interesting tomorrow with Lewis down in 7th and Vettel not even inside the top ten.

Actually it was a Ros-Ham-Msc but ham has the penalty..

As far as Rosberg all you can say is that it was a perfect lap.. I don't think you'll ever get better. Once done he was out of the car and off for a nice cold beer with 5 minutes still to go in the Q3 session :D

But due to the penalty it becomes a Mercedes 1-2. Great lap by Nico. Hopefully will be an intresting race

Nope, qualifying is whoever gets the times, so the result of qualifying will always stand as Ros-Ham-Msc, it's only after qualifying that the penalty is implemented ;)

As you said qualifying and not race grid positions you were technically incorrect :p: :D ;)

I can see Hamilton winning from 7th.. I can see him being in the top 3 in the first corner if he gets a good start. The start's are crucial.

I have to agree.

I'm very pleased for Nico, getting his first win. Just a shame about the problems on Jenson's last tyre change, otherwise it could have been an even more exciting finish.

Bahrain Grand Prix: petrol bomb incident near Force India car

Force India team members were caught up in a petrol bomb incident as they returned from the Bahrain Grand Prix track.

The four mechanics in a hire car were stuck in a traffic jam while the incident was taking place on Wednesday.

No Force India staff were hurt but one team member not present at the time has been allowed to return to the UK.

Bahrain circuit chairman Zayed R Alzayani said: "They weren't targeted. They just happened to be there."

This sort of thing wasn't really unexpected, and is probably less serious than the incident in Brazil a couple of years ago.

Sebastian Vettel on pole in Bahrain ahead of Lewis Hamilton.

World champion Sebastian Vettel took his and Red Bull's first pole position of 2012 ahead of McLaren's Lewis Hamilton at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The German, who out-qualified team-mate Mark Webber for the first time this year, was 0.098 seconds quicker than Hamilton, with Webber third.

McLaren's Jenson Button was fourth, ahead of Mercedes' Nico Rosberg.

Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and Force India's Paul di Resta did not set a time and are ninth and 10th.

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton took pole position at the Spanish Grand Prix ahead of the surprise pairing of Pastor Maldonado and Fernando Alonso.

Hamilton was a massive 0.578 seconds quicker than Maldonado's Williams, with Alonso's improved Ferrari just missing out on a front-row slot.

Sebastian Vettel was eighth after not setting a time in the final session.

McLaren's Jenson Button and Vettel's Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber were 11th and 12th
Well its certainly going to be interesting tomorrow with several big names further back on the grid.

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton has been excluded from qualifying at the Spanish Grand Prix after stopping his car out on the track at the end of qualifying.

Hamilton qualified on pole but will start from the back of the grid.

Hamilton was told to stop because there was insufficient fuel in the car for him to get back to the pits and provide a sample, as required by the rules.

The stewards rejected McLaren's argument that not putting enough fuel in the car was "force majeure".

McLaren really have to sort things out as this is the 4th or 5th balls up they have made this season and in the process they have probably cost Lewis Hamilton 30 to 40 points in the process as well and in my mind the buck stops at the top and Whitmarsh really has to start getting his act together and sorts out these amateurish errors being made by the McLaren team.:td::(

Just heard the excuses from Mclaren team...more I hear..the more I think McLaren have some real issues..they could have let the car come back (strange to say..never really know how much, actually was enough, but we stopped)..and as they said..they knew before he completed the lap..so equally could have stopped then.

Not impressed

I think they panicked, told Lewis to stop and then worked out that they could have brought him home OK with a liter of fuel.

Will though make an interesting race seeing Lewis fighting from the back.. Anyone care to guess where his finishing position will be??? I'm guessing at 6th or slightly above

Totally agree with you.. Monaco is not a modern F1 track instead it's a narrow track that should have been labeled as unsuitable decades ago yet only holds on because of the amount of money that it generates..

Personally I turned off half way through (although I did watch highlights later it didn't improve)

i might watch monaco..if it showed a bit more scenery...same as i like tour de france, great way to see France. But equally it is past its date, only there for money purposes, not racing purposes.

This is quite interesting, an F1 car cut in half length ways to show in the insides of a 2008 Sauber. Amazing stuff.

They are two different drivers with two different driving styles, Hamilton is more aggressive and harsher on tyres where Jensen is usually good with tyres. It's handy having both in the same team! Not sure what's going on, he's usually a good driver
