Watching Times square in New York.

I see loads of yellow cars, plenty of obese people, and I saw a drugs deal go down.
there's some guy there now trying to give out free issues of The Big Issue I think. but nobody wants them.

I had 2 fat women waving at me earlier.

That man as realized that religion is a great way to make tax-free money off the backs of well-meaning people, through donations to his ministry, all without fearing eternal damnation. You see, I suspect that he, like many others of his ilk, doesn’t believe in God at all.

Of course, the weekend will pass without incident and thousands of Camping's followers, having spent or donated huge amounts of money on his behalf, will be gravely disappointed. Victims will be broken. Families will be damaged. Lives will be ruined. All because someone made a good pitch, and followers believed.

Warning - Eruption has started

Iceland's most active volcano erupted Saturday, with a white plume shooting 18,000 feet into the air, the eruption was followed by around 50 small earthquakes, the largest of which measured 3.7 on the Richter Scale, according to Iceland's meteorological office.

Every single day of the years since we started counting time some poor deluded person has been announcing the end of the world.

Why do people listen when on every previous occasion nothing happened.

The world is just full of Chicken Little's running around screaming the sky is falling.

Let's just ignore them shall we?Because it will take more than one day for this world to end..

Think he actually said it'll start Saturday and finish some time in October, if I believed in this sort of thing I'd say 2 earthquakes and a volcano going of might constitute a start...

Hold on a mo ,this bloke knows to day when the world will start to end but can only say "sometime in october" for the finish ...bloody amature :)

To be fair he did give the exact date but I was to amateurish to catch it, I think it best though given the circumstances to keep the whole month clear...

Wonder though has the earthquakes increased lately more to the point got more bigger.

If they have could mean mother earth is angry.

I would think rather than asteroid although its a worrying likely scenerio. I see the end being that we would see increase of events. Those events I would think earth would be come more increasingly violent too in magnitude ie earthquakes would be bigger. Just everything would get more violent cyclones, turnados, hurricanes, volcano's, earthquakes, tusami's. Not all necessary in one area either.

We would not necessary put 2 and 2 together that it would be all linked until its too late. The problem though we would be pawns who would not be able to avert it but not even despite governments want to belief be the cause of it. Now yes polution may say knock few years from it happening on our watch but the end game would still happen. I would say wars/nuclear bomb tests do more damage than the mere mortal being but governments wont admit to that.

That to me would be most likely way it would end for us.

Not necessary ice age but increase activity might trigger melting icecaps.

If you watch that video to the end. You will see that an impact of that size will remove the top layer of the crust everywhere on earth and will leave NOTHING. They say this might have already happened once in the distant past

'A little bewildered': Wife of the preacher who predicted the end of the world says he is 'mystified' as to why we're all still here

I don't understand why nothing has happened,' baffled believer Robert Fitzpatrick said as he gazed at his watch in New York's Times Square just after 6pm
'I did what I had to do. I did what the Bible said.'

The last thing Mr Harold Camping wants to hear right now is "Cheer up, it's not the end of the world."

A pity. I hoped he might man up and admit he got it wrong, but it appears he's a bit too proud for that.

At the age of 89 I imagine he'll just keep 'revising' his prediction until he dies of old age. Then he'll never need to admit he was simply wrong.

Can't they just section him?

Stuart 24-05-2011 16:51

Re: End of the world, Saturday, 21st May

To section someone they have to have evidence of severe mental problems. Saying the world will end in itself is not evidence of that.

Admittedly, throw in the fact that on his say so, his "small" church spent millions of dollars advertising it (although I question how small an organisation is if it has access to millions of dollars of funding), and I'd say there may be evidence of a few people with mental problems.

This is fantastic! a five month Camping trip!! :D

Can't wait for the moment on October 22nd when there's a lot of people wanting to :bsmack:Harold...

However, someone should get a load of sex dolls, put a little sand in the toes to keep them the right way up, inflate them with helium and cut them loose at the appointed hour - preferably near a church :D

I'm into reverse speech and I've uncovered some gems from this contradictory apology: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xM781nba7Z4

I broke bad the law
We didn't know - we're beat
Here are sherifs
We're shutting it
Yeah - didn't announce it

And the best one?

Surf it babe

Thanks Harold. Looking forward to your apology on the 22nd October - unless you go into hiding again!
