I dont for one minute think she should be getting death threats or do I condone violance as that makes the people doing that just as bad. I just think she should be dealt accordinly with the proper channels

very true... she did an evil thing, she should get punished by the RSPCA... nobody should be threatening her life, thats just wrong.

I am surprised no cat owners have responded to this.... hey ho I'll take the bait... Just how are you supposed to stop you cat doing such a thing?

Do we scold it and call it a 'naughty cat' and ask it not to crap in Mr Anal Retentive's garden again or do we take away it's purring privilege's

Did we hear the door closing... that was reality leaving the room...

Cat's have a free spirit and if they decide your garden is their toilet then there is not much the owner of the cat or the owner of the toilet.. sorry garden can do about it.

Oh there's the door... reality is back...

Plus... at least cats bury their do-do... *Some* dog owners allow their dogs to crap all over the pavements!

I wonder if the RSPCA can charge her with anything?

Doubtful. And if they do it will be at the lower end of the scale cruelty wise. And if she does I'd imagine she will be a first offender so likely to get the lower end of the punishment scale.

Seeing I know of people who have starved animals to death getting away without jail time I can't see her getting locked up or any huge fines being imposed.

Possibly just get a warning and told she can't keep pets for X amount of years... she wouldn't mind as she doesn't keep any anyway.

Well, she's been named and shamed at least :)

That is one of the things that bugs me most in life. Having to walk down the pavements dodging dog crap.

Our kids used to go to a school that was about 100yds from our kitchen window and the amount of dog crap that was on the pavements outside the school was sickening.

The local council were totally fed up with me complaining about it.

....

The woman in the video should be ashamed of herself for doing something so blatantly stupid, she most likely is and has been caught out big time.

She did a bad thing, but to keep things in perspective...

</perspective..>

A couple of years ago a gang of kid's round my way bricked an old lady's cat and killed it and nothing got done about it despite complaints being made to the authorities.

The same week one of my cat's disappeared and came back 6 days later near to death with a badly fractured skull, broken hard palate, broken lower jaw, lacerated tongue and an eye gouged out. He survived this ordeal

Getting dumped into a bin was most likely a harrowing experience for the poor cat, but cats are resilient and it will survive.

<../perspective>

:D

Revenge of the Cat, excellent.

The woman in question has been punished for this crime, named, shamed & her picture on national TV. She wont forget this in a hurry, nor will her neighbours.

If she is banned from ever having any animals then she wont be hard to spot if she ever gets one so that is good in itself

Not just national, this story has gone international.

You could try keeping your cat in your house, I just dont see why peoples need for a pet should impact on anyone elses life and there's plenty that can be done about it, for instance we haven't had anyones cat in our garden since we got our dog.

I wonder if the RSPCA can charge her with anything?

We used to have a neighbour that let her dog poo in our front garden whilst she was walking it, well not just ours but anyones down the street, she got a right telling of when I caught her I can tell you.

A cat owner has told how she believes sick yobs trapped her treasured pet in a pedal-bin before leaving him in a crushing machine.
Grandma Susan Hirons and husband Philip, both 57, claim Smokie was cat-napped by two yobs who shoved him in a silver pedal bin.
They then tossed the bin inside a huge industrial crusher at a recycling plant a quarter-of-a-mile away from their home in Hull and left him to die in the machine.
A female member of staff heard Smokie's cries, freed him and took him to a rescue centre

She would have received a stiffer penalty had it not been for the hysterical press/public reaction.

People have done far worse and have paid a higher price for their actions at the courts, but the publicity this time around has to be far worse than what any court could put upon her. Still at least she has to pay £1421 inc costs.

I didn't know about the costs, the news only gave the fine amount. Good. Your right about the publicity too, it may deter some other idiot from doing the same.

The court took into account the fact that she has been subject to abuse and death-threats.

Let me guess... The taxpayer will have to pay for a new identity and life next?

Kind of like witness protection or summat like that...
