It's a little convenient, for some, to now suddenly put so much store in the results of an OFSTED report.

And you appear be deliberately conflating the OFSTED report for a small primary school with the issues of an OFSTED report on a very large Social Services department - you really like to muddy the waters when a discussion is not going your way, don't you?

If you are going to use that tack, I have noted that in previous posts you mention that you have a number of properties that you rent out - mmmm, I wonder if you are one of those Rachman-like landlords who ill-treat their tenants, and send heavies round to beat them up when they object? (or is it very simplistic to tar all landlords with the same brush as the worst, just like is it very simplistic (and deliberately misleading, imho) to tar all OFSTED reports with the same brush?)

Unfortunately life & death have a habit of not working to a convenient timetable to suit a parents idea of what a child is ready for. Many parents expect the teacher to teach children about life & death as it may not be something they are likely to have to deal with at a convenient time. Let alone something they may feel comfortable discussing or explaining to their children in the first place. Ignorance is not bliss.

Comedian Paul O'Grady, who lives near Ashford, had offered to buy Marcus.

But Mrs Charman went ahead with sending the animal to slaughter, which was part of a project to teach children about the food cycle.

so what did it teach the vegetarians

Shall l tell you all something, in this life, now l am 58, and l leant' more at school, ie science, sex, smoking, how to beat up kids, everything and that was in the playground, and it brought me up a better person, respecting other peoples wishes, and nothing like the crap we hear today, health and safety wasn't heard of in my day, problems with religion wasn't heard of, you could walk down the street without the fear of being mugged by white or black guys, the school teachers were allowed to smack you round the ass if you were bad.

Nowadays, life has gone totally mad, you say one word against anyone, they take offence to it, you bow to certain religions or faiths, as you mustn't upset them, a teacher gets told off for doing something which is educational, and she gets a rollocking, health and safety has gone totally bonkers, what the hell is this world coming too.

I don't think this has anything to do with health and safety

This teacher was not sacked, she left of her own accord.

I am saying that, when you go to school, you go to get educated, and therefore you come under the school for learning, it makes me laugh and angry, when people complain about what they are being taught, teachers get a rough ride with everything, they get attacked in school and cannot do anything, what should we do, get parents into school and teach how to behave, this where the health and safety comes in, they cannot teach, they have no qualifications.

Nowadays, ITS the pupil that rule the classrooms, , ITS up to the teachers to teach, what they have to learn, when l was at school we had to learn how to disect a RAT, we did it, no complaints, we had to learn.

When kids go home, they turn on the telly, watch progs that they are not suppose to, stay up after nine, and they watch fox hunting, breed, kill and eat produce.

The only way to learn is at school, leave it up to the schools and jkeep all the red tape on the desk at the council officers.

You can bet there will be a focus group somewhere in the bowels of County Hall that will be working to rectify this unfortunate outbreak.
