I wish I could say Andrew, but it's business/security sensitive, so I can't...sorry. You will get a letter before the card swap to advise it's on it's way..

Signed up today as this site is such a useful source of information, mainly down to Media Boy so thank you for your hardwork and constant updates.

One quick question that has no doubt already been answered - what are the chances of Virgin Media getting Sky Sports HD? ESPN HD has wet my appetite but don't want to join Sky to get Sky Sports HD if there is feint possibility Virgin may get the rights.

Media Boy - Do you have a twitter account for all the latest updates?

I think Bromley is old CW network.

Can anyone outside London view BBC News Multiscreen on their red button on BBC News.

Bromley is another way of saying ex-CWC. So that is ALL areas once covered by Cable & Wireless, not just that area of London.

But given ncfc1902's comment, it must be selected areas.

Thinking about it, I remember reading it was connected to the rollout of NGTV...

also does anyone have any idea when we will be able to watch news from other regions. you know like on gmtv when it cuts to your regional area but sometimes if theres a problem you end up with the london news and info about central london, i would actually kind of like to watch the london news. or the midlands news. Its amazing how unaware we actually are of things that are happeneing in other areas. In fact the only time i find out is through googlenews.

I highly doubt it, we'd have heard something about this by now, and I also doubt Barnsley would be the first place to receive them.

Thanks for update.

I know that BBC Radio has been added to your area but can you tell me if the following BBC Channels has appeared:

861. BBC One England
862. BBC One Scotland
863. BBC One Northern Ireland
864. BBC One Wales
865. BBC Two England

I do not know why Virgin Media has added up to 30 Channels on your total channels for I can only count 17 Channels that Ex-Telewest are missing out on - see post one for channels names.

I was under the impression from what l have read on this forum, that everything is sorted, every customer from TW/NTL etc will have the same channel line up, but why can't we have the SAME channels up and down the network.

From what I can gather (and this is purely guesswork as your post makes next to no sense) you're saying that you thought that once everything was sorted (as in, the networks were combined and bought into sync) we'd all have the same channel line up? And yet are asking why we can't have the same channels? I think you've answered your own question, everything hasn't been sorted yet. Some areas are still taking feeds from different places which have different channels available.

From what I understand it's not a question of deleting them, but it's to do with the platform upgrades.

From what I understand (and I'm happy to be corrected here) when the networks are combined there will only be one super head end, and all channels will be taken into the network there. If it's not available there we won't get it. So local radio stations that they can't get a feed for outside the local area won't be able to be carried.

So the obvious follow up question is, is this just temporary until the complete process is completed as it's pretty trivial to inject channels into a cable stream at the regional level?

Virgin will stop broadcasting your local Radio channels on April 1st.

Then remove them on or just after April 8th.

Then all the missing BBC Channels as well as Magic 105.4 and Kiss Radio will launch after that date.
