From what l read on this forum, that VM have got a lot more channels coming onto the system, and that there is 999 appearing on some boxes, l have checked that l see that BBC1Scotland is coming also, IS this channel coming on the whole system or just for Scotland.

Signed up today as this site is such a useful source of information, mainly down to Media Boy so thank you for your hardwork and constant updates.
One quick question that has no doubt already been answered - what are the chances of Virgin Media getting Sky Sports HD? ESPN HD has wet my appetite but don't want to join Sky to get Sky Sports HD if there is feint possibility Virgin may get the rights. Media Boy - Do you have a twitter account for all the latest updates? |

No yet here!

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)
By the sounds of it, it has only launched on the Bromley side of the network. Digital Fantastic seemed to suggest it would hit Langley areas by the end of January/beginning of February :)

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)
MB,
I can confirm that BBC News multiscreen is available via red button here in York. Duke |
Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)
I think when viewers in Ex-ntl or Ex-C&W get BBC Radio 4 LW they will also get BBC Radio London and BBC News Multiscreen.
I know that some Ex-C&W viewers in London and Ex-ntl viewers in York have got them. |

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)
also does anyone have any idea when we will be able to watch news from other regions. you know like on gmtv when it cuts to your regional area but sometimes if theres a problem you end up with the london news and info about central london, i would actually kind of like to watch the london news. or the midlands news. Its amazing how unaware we actually are of things that are happeneing in other areas. In fact the only time i find out is through googlenews.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)
You've already got the London version of ITV1 on channel 853, and have either got or will be getting the national BBC1s from 861 upwards. I don't know of any plans to make the full set of regions available to everyone.

Media Boy EXCLUSIVE: Virgin Media to launch Magic and Kiss Radio on Virgin Media in all areas.
As well as adding the Missing BBC Branded channels to Ex-Telewest I have today been told that Virgin Media are also added Magic 105.4 (Channel 928) and Kiss 100 (Channel 963). |

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)
Quote:
From what I understand (and I'm happy to be corrected here) when the networks are combined there will only be one super head end, and all channels will be taken into the network there. If it's not available there we won't get it. So local radio stations that they can't get a feed for outside the local area won't be able to be carried. |
