Plus, Unlike Iraq, The Taliban did have links/supported Islamic Terrorists. Iraq was also a massive human rights problem but we should have stayed and finished Afgansitan.

His unit will be sad to see him go, you can bet they were never short of a night sight or anything else with him on the team.

With the ludicrous under-supply and overcommitment of forces, fighting under crippling rules of engagement, I'd question the sanity of anyone wanting to be in the army.

Re: Prince Harry

there's hardly been any coverage of the Afghan campaign and what this has done is bring it back into being 'newsworthy'. it (harry's deployment) is starting to look like a PR stunt when you see the pages of coverage in the sun but one which is drawing attention to what the troops do. I'd say they have taken his deployment and used it to full advantage of the army. Harry has been well and truely 'used'.

which is a great benefit to those serving in Afghanistan who up until this week have been forgotten about.

Not by me they haven't, and many others I'm sure. And I'm looking forward to a close friend's son returning home on the 26/27th of this month having served the time he signed up for.

You meant 'forgotten by the media'? ;)

Re: Prince Harry

yeah mostly ignored by the media.

Media are only interested in quick wars with quick victories and this is going to be neither. From that perspective if nothing else harry has bought it out of the shadows if only for a little while.

It is in a national newspaper, NoTW, there is no partial nudity or anything. She wears more than a bikini.

I thought it was very funny. They had no suitable pictures of her, so they *made* one up. As I said it was an "artist's impression", it ain't the real thing. A photoshop job.
