I actually felt the quake as far south as northeast Hampshire. I probably wouldn't have felt it if I hadn't been lying down, it just felt like someone gently kicking the foot of my bed. I wondered at the time what it was, thinking "it can't be an earthquake or anything like that".

had to listed to this all day
seems you either went straight back to sleep or worried for a bit

Some of the contractors hoped that there office might be damaged but they were dissapointed as there office is in Market Rasen

Woke me up at 12.58 whole house rattled like marbles in a tin can. Missus slept through, I did mention this morning before work if the earth moved for her last night and al I got was a rye smile ;)

Was half asleep on the sofa when it started to shake. First I thought the dog was having a big scratch. Sat up and the dog was no where near me. Missus come running down the stairs and asked if i had felt it. She thought it was ghosts shaking her bed :D

Put Life on Mars on for a bit then went to bed

however it does explain why the wardrobe door had come open so I bashed my leg on it, later when I got up for a pee ....

Agree on global warming having no impact although the quakes we have in this country are rarely even on a fault line, more often a movement in general mass.
