Or in other words you agree with the fee! That's all you had to say, your opinion is respected. That's why we have forums, so you can discuss things. |
Re: Another Take on Lost Channels
So what channels have gone ?
The only channels I watch occasionally once in a blue moon are 120 (sky one I think I dont know the one that shows some simpsons) and 602 sky news. My TV supplement consists of flicking between 610(news 24) and 602(sky news) tell me I can still see sky news.... -----> goes to switch TV on to see ---------- Post added at 13:58 ---------- Previous post was at 13:55 ---------- OH DEAR ! Just tried the telly and it appears that I dont have 120 nor 602(sky news) When did the switch off happen ? |
Re: Another Take on Lost Channels
How was the moon? I hear it's a little cold this time of year.
Here on earth we've been flooded non-stop in every news break for a day and a half that VM and Sky have not been able to agree terms on some of their channels. This means that since 1st March (When the existing contract run out!) VM no longer has Sky One, Two, News, Sports News and Travel. Apparently we're going to get some of the shows 6 months later on VoD to make up for it! (Apologies for the sarcasm if you work nights or are deaf, otherwise, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!!!!) |
Re: Another Take on Lost Channels
As per my post maybe I don't watch TV :p and hence don't get exposed to
" News breaks " " Flash messages " " Adverts " that you have to endure :D ---------- Post added at 14:10 ---------- Previous post was at 14:08 ---------- One last question : For those of us who live on the moon can we get Skynews via freeview or has that never been an option ? |

VM and Sky may work it out, it hurts them both as Sky will lose millions in lost advert viewing, have to wait and see. :juggle: |
Re: Another Take on Lost Channels
I don't know maybe you should get out once in a while and enjoy life without TV.
I certainly have a much better quality of life since I stopped watching the box. TV is a complete waste of time - even the news - why wash your brain with information that you did not want in the first place ? Why let OTHER people control and even influence what you BELIEVE is ethically right or wrong ? Seems silly to be spoon fed something that you don't have NO control over in terms of the content being delivered. I mean I had no woes or worries simply because I did not know of the sky/VM rift. I'm sure if I had knowledge of it then maybe I would have given it thought/worried ? Alas the event as happened and we have lost Sky - So what ? there was nothing you could have done about it.. So why worry ? - At least I have come out of this unscathed simply because I did not have to worry about it :) ---------- Post added at 14:32 ---------- Previous post was at 14:29 ---------- Quote:
But its very low down on my list of priorities I can live without sky for a few months no problemo. |

Personally I would be happy to just have a bit of VoD and I'd watch an hour as I chill out before bed. I don't need all the BBC soap and drama crud. TV's just a bit of escapism for me. |
