Re: [Merged] GTA: San Andreas...
I love this game. Never play the missions. Get plenty of cheats (I know, I know  ;) ) and just go touring the islands, by car or by plane.
I just like the game because you're not stuck to playing the missions, you do what you want. :) http://smilies.jeeptalk.org/contrib/...sting_anim.gif |

Re: [Merged] GTA: San Andreas...
I have heard "you can clime the wall of the airport and steel a plane, and just fly around lots to get your plane licence" Where is the wall? I have looked and all I see is a wire fence thats to high to clime.
Help. |

As far as I am aware this does not get you your licence but lets you fly without having to get it. |

Never played GTA though but it's tempting to go out and get it just to see what all the fuss is about :D ;) |
Re: Clinton attacks GTA (again)
I have witnessed at first hand how even very young children can pick up and act out what they see on a TV screen. Admittedly in my son's case it tends to be Bill and Ben the Flowerpot men running around their garden, but nevertheless ...
I know there is an age restriction on GTA but even so, are older brothers always careful who's around when they play it? You can't expect an 18 year old to have the same level of awareness of the impressionability of a very young child that you would expect from a parent. Good grief, you're daft if you expect responsible behaviour from parents, sometimes ... :erm: When Hillary Clinton says that video games like these make the challenge of parenting harder, she is absolutely, unquestionably correct. Parents who care about what their children see already have to be very vigilant. |

I can understand some people stating that some games are making it harder to parent apropriately but is that a reason to demand the end to games like GTA? |

Re: Clinton attacks GTA (again)
I'm sorry, but this is about the "Hot Coffee" scandal .... I don't know if any of you have seen the video of this Mod/Hack, but based on that alone it should be 18+, especially as the designers are NOT denying the existence of this stuff within the game, just that *they* didn't give access to it on release.

Re: Clinton attacks GTA (again)
It's the double standards of the whole thing that gets me.It's ok for all the graphic violence in GTA but not sex?Why isn't Hilary getting excited about the former if video games are supposed to have such an influence on the young?

Re: [Merged] GTA: San Andreas...
Here's a great article from The Reg that talks about Hilary Clinton's outrage at this mod... I love this quote

For example, I used to play unreal tournament a lot, someone had a naked skin of Xena warrior princess as their player in game, does that mean unreal should have been X-Rated? I doubt it. Also, like I think a lot of people have allready said, in terms of being inappropriate killing > sex. |
