I would say Man City!

I mean, look at how crap they were before Redknapp walked out of Portsmouth and went to them. Much as I am anti Spurs, they will end up regretting it if they let Harry go to England until after the Euros.

Then bring in Jose Mourinho, although my aunt will be gutted if he does. She loves Jose but hates Spurs (she's a Chelski fan).

All depends on who they get in as to whether they bomb obviously, if they get another Gross or Ramos they're screwed but a Jose or Hiddink might even make them better.

if City win the Premiership under Mancini I can't see them jettisoning him - however, if they don't.....

You say ' a Jose' as if there's plenty of them... One can only wish :p:

Some people seem to think Pardew will take over at Spurs. I doubt it but Harry Redknapp wasn't world class when he first took over.

Nice to see there's not just a few of us that think the F.A stuck their noses in too far and that manager's should manage the club and not some
executive.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has defended Fabio Capello's stand over John Terry, insisting the Italian should have had the final say over whether the Chelsea defender remained as England captain or not. He told Arsenal Player: "When the decision came out from the FA, I said that the choice of captain is down to the manager. You (the manager) pick your team, you choose your captain. I did not expect such an extreme situation but it looks like there was already some turbulence there and that was just the final straw."

It's not a club, it's the international side. If Terry wasn't going to step aside and Capello wasn't going to take action then the FA needed to do something. It's not uncommon for people in sensitive or public positions to step aside pending the result of a criminal trail.

We could not go into Euro 2012 with the captain awaiting trial for racially abusing another player, it would be disruptive, there was reportedly large discontent amongst the England players, and if we somehow fluked our way to the trophy there would be the risk of someone who was about to be convicted for racial abuse being forever associated with the imagery of the title. It just wasn't a realistic prospect.

My strong belief is that Rednapp will stay at Spurs, Harry owes a great deal to Tottenham for standing by him, don't forget Spurs knew about his financial problems and gave him a job.

He said when he got acquitted that he owes a lot to Daniel Levy, and l believe he will stand by that loyalty. The fans at Tottenham love him, and don't forget that Harry is not a well man.

He has got something wrong with his ticker as well and recently this year he was in hospital.

I think England need to go for a young manager, and not someone of Harry's age anyway.

Really? England have been farting their way out of tournaments at the quarters and semis for decades. If you're suggesting England fans will be satisfied with 'more of the same' then hmmmm...

It depends how they play. If we play well, make it difficult then that would be ok. We shouldn't have gone out in the 2nd round in the World Cup and we didn't even qualify prior to that.

That Harry is not well surely makes it more likely to go for the 'part time' job and his age just means this is his last chance.

Re: Football Season 2011/12

Why Shouldn't we have gone out in the second round? The teams in the group stages we should be beating by 3 or 4 goals. We were absolutely crap and The Germans had a far more organised and superior team in every way. Us fans did not deserve it but the players sure as hell did.

As with Russ, I don't see what massive difference Harry Redknapp is going to make. Unfortunately Major tournaments are once every 2 years so the chance to win a trophy is already unlikely :(

Remember, Fabio Capello made the decision to strip the Capitaincy of John Terry last time round over the Wayne Bridge saga!

I do not think that Rio Ferdinand would be keen on going to a tournement to someone who insulted his brother, this is all a big mess and I would no like to be John Terry right now!

Since Stuart Pearce knows the team (as assistant manager) and also manages the England Under-21 and GB Olympic football teams, he would be a good person for the job until at least after Euro 2012!
