Double Ouch den, our car cost quite a few hundred last year to fix some problems and thankfully this year it sailed through it's MOT.
Hopefully that will be your experience fingers crossed.

That does not look nice when read let me explain what I meant :) hopefully the money spent this year will pay off next year den. There I feel better now :) just needed to add that den.

Yes sadly when cars are older the expense becomes a bit more but as you say its better to do it now and hopefully because of that there will be less cost the following year.

I'd rather that, than the £1,400 bill I had for a new Starter motor, killed by the Clutch/Flywheel breaking down and fibres getting into the starter motor, and a new power steering pump.

The main dealer wanted £1,500 just for the Clutch/Flywheel alone, so I went to a clutch place near me, they charged about £700.

Thanks. He's had a stroke. He's in a bad way but at least he's alive which is more than I thought when I posted that first
