Well if that happens then Sky will be getting a bit of its own medicine for once and they will find it will not taste very nice one suspects...

Wow not much on that list will be missed in our house , I hope they can come to an agreement for those that do watch them though.

Re: General Sky TV Discussion

Indeed as there are quite a few who do watch content from these channels.

Will BT and Premier Sports have the right to retail their channels directly on this platform or will it be a closed platform like VM's?
If it is a closed platform as I suspect, this will be a useful long-term weapon in Sky's fight against BT.

Was told on live chat this morning that we will be able to buy the channels direct from discovery! Wouldn't give anymore details;)

Hopefully they will come to an agreement because i watch a lot of content from those channels and Sky would lose a lot of customers if they do lose those channels .

Losing 13 channels would surely mean a reduction in subscription cost wouldn't it ?

Re: General Sky TV Discussion

The thing is Marty as l am not sure on this but Muppetman11 might be is that if these channels are withdrawn which is very very likely does it mean one can cancel their subscription? and two as you say will they be offering customers a reduction in their monthly subscription?

A reduction in Sky's costs but not yours I fear.

Sky says it’s preparing for Discovery’s closure on the platform.

Tonight Sky has issued a lengthy statement – copied in full below – claiming Discovery has failed to return to the negotiating table despite being offered almost £1bn for its channels
