Not necessarily - I'm happy to stick with Virgin until we eventually get all the Sports in HD - I'm not going to jump ship for lack of HD! That would just be silly considering the benefits of being with VM. :)

However it will not be TiVo upgradable as it does not run Flash which the new TiVo OS runs. (See topic about VM CEO talking about TiVo and posts on Digital Spy)

urghhh, tivo uses flash = PUKE! Silverlight <3 :)

Does the older v+ box run flash? I think i'll just wait a year or so and try and get a free upgrade to the Tivo box then, the current v+ box has plenty of features enough for me tbh.

Anyone know if i use an E-SATA hdd with the v+ box i can watch the recorded shows on my pc or are they encrypted?

I got my second V+ box installed yesterday afternoon and it was a SA. I've not had a problem with my original SA that I've had for a few years so I'm not complaining.

I know the sammy is smaller and looks prettier but I tend to watch the TV more than the set top box :D

People who have posted that they have had self install boxes have not posted that they have received a Scientific Atlanta box. Not saying that this will be the case for everyone but I think you are probably more likely to get a Samsung box via self install

Hello, new here I have a couple of questions if people dont mind answering.

We're on TV Size L.

1. Are there any plans for Virgin Media to add NHK World TV to its line up? The current news channels have a lack of culture, like with Sky there's tons of interesting news channels from various countries, I would love to see NHK World TV.(Its on Freesat for free)

2. Why isnt CBS Reality free for Size L customers? The channel has nothing but garbage on it, such as 2 different programs like Judge Judy and Cops playing for 12 hours straight, surely it should be free? (Its on Freesat for free)

3. Point 2 but for another channel. Horror Channel. Apparently this is free on Freesat but not to Size L customers, will this ever be free?

4. Any news of Channels coming to Size L?

Ive just upgraded to the HD sports and Movies and just wanted to know do Virgin call to confirm upgrade? as will be at work all day for next couple of days and if not how long does it take after doing the upgrade online for them to go on?

ITV HD2, 3 & 4 going to Sky, but no mention of Virgin Media.

Just seen on Sky News ITV are launching ITV2, ITV3 & ITV4 in HD. Did'nt give any time scale or on which platforms..

The channels will be exclusive to Sky - so not on Virgin Media. Yet more evidence of Virgin falling behind.
