That’s a shame about Eleven Sports. I’m confused though I thought this was a robust business model, and had the backing of it’s profitable European arms.

l am not confused as the UK is a different animal altogether as for Eleven Sports read Setanta Sports and then there is ESPN a very well financed company who turned around and quit the UK market.

I was joking ;)

I’ve posted before that the best thing for the overall market is they go bust in the absence of a business plan.

I agree with your point about worldwide companies- they aren’t going to sink their profits into the UK in the absence of a return on investment.

That's right, but who would? No-one is going to bother if they can't make a profit out of it.

So this means UFC will stay on BTSports now? And for how long? I'd rather have it like this as i get my fave sports all in one place like UFC, Indycar, Footy etc

Edit..

The Daily Telegraph revealed earlier today that the UFC are in currently in ‘emergency discussions’ with BT to hash out a new deal.

Well, each contract as it expires is up for grabs, so stability in this market is never guaranteed.

Shame this new vintage channel covers music from 70/80/90's. At my age I'd be more interested in50/60/70's.

I think that is partially where the old Vintage TV stopped appealing, when it first launched it would do anything from 1920s onward and was eclectic, but it stopped being like 6Music and started drifting more modern...and then started commissioning original programming which instantly significantly ups the running costs.

Agreed it started off well but then began to get newer and newer which kinda wasn't the point of the channel.

Shame if it ends and we miss out on the potential streaming of live sports free through the STV app.

That sounds "rathergood".

Considering the history of the company behind this I'm not going to get too excited about it. I'll believe it when I see it.

Until then, you can check out the stream: http://rathergood.co.uk/vintage/

Virgin Media are promoting the new Desi App Pack on channel 800, available to trial at no extra cost from 12 December 2018 – 8 January 2019.

However, channel 800 doesn't exist on my V6.
