Sky Stream is missing aboout 30-40 channels compared to SkyQ.

Virgin may not have streaming rights which is a legitimate reason for not providing these channels on Flex but feel free to raise that with Ofcom and trading standards too.

If Sky Atlantic is going to be available on Virgin TV Go, which runs on all sorts of devices, why can't it run on a V6?

It can, its part of the 'you need to upgrade to 360' blackmail.

I contacted VM via "X" asking why they would not give me Sky Atlantic on my V6. Their response: "The availability of Sky Atlantic would be determined by our licensing agreement with Sky."

Rubbish.

Why would Sky enter into an agreement* which restricts the audience for one of their channels to those unfortunate enough to have succumbed to VM's 360 blackmail?

EDIT: * - unless that agreement says something like "VM can have Sky Atlantic but only for streaming services and not linear"...?

But TV360 is linear and can record.

Oh - hadn't appreciated that. I appear to have been trying to give the benefit of the doubt to VM. Don't know why!

Unless it's not going to be available on TV Go for V6 Tivo customers. Trying to see what the reasoning might be. Is it technical reasons or is it licencing numbers(ie the more STBs that can receive it, the more VM have to pay).

So is on-demand and TV Go going to be available for V6 Tivo users? Not obvious either way. Does it refer to the TV 360 STB and exclude V6 even with TV 360 update?

Sky Atlantic is being cut down anyway. content is being moved over to HBO Max.

As part of the deal between Warner Bros. Discovery and Sky, HBO shows that have already been airing on Sky Atlantic – like The Last of Us, Euphoria, and The White Lotus – will continue to have their new seasons air on the channel simultaneously with HBO Max.
But that’s where the overlap ends.
New HBO shows that haven’t previously aired on Sky won’t automatically come to Sky Atlantic. And the full back catalogue – all those past seasons of Game of Thrones, Succession, The Wire, and the rest – lives on HBO Max, not on the channel.

A V6 is the box running TiVo-software. TV360 is running Horizon/360 software.

A V6 "with TV360 update" is a TV360, it's not a V6.

But there is a specific TV 360 STB. None of the articles suggest it will be available on a V6 with TV 360 software.
"Virgin TV Stream box or Virgin TV 360" could imply hardware only.
If on-demand is going to be available on a V6 powered by Tivo, what's the difference, apart from live TV?

Virgin Don't describe them as V6 with TV 360 software though

Sky Atlantic is launching on Virgin TV on 1 April. To receive this channel you will need to upgrade your set top box. The good news is we can upgrade you to a new Virgin TV 360 box at no extra cost. Head to the Apps & Games section on your box, select Upgrade Now and follow the on-screen steps. After that, we'll send you everything you need in the post.
Which is really just new remote if you have a V6.

To be clear, as long as your V6 box has been updated to the 360 software and you have the "Sky Entertainment" package, you will get access to Sky Atlantic on 1 April 2026 without needing to take any action.

Still no source to that, other than the single mention on the TV24 website. What defines a "TV 360 customer"?
