the prince of darkness is quitting:devsmoke:

Good news. Hopefully he gets prosecuted for leaking sensitive documents, etc.

It must be awkward for his husband.

If the government do bring in legislation to strip him of his membership of the HoL, can they also do that for others, such as Michelle Mone?

Let's concentrate on this rat first and once he's faced justice we can move on to other deserving people. I keep hearing mandleson being compared to John perfumo, utter bs imo, Perfumo died with his reputation restored to my mind and he is something rare for me, a politician who I actually admire, one who committed a terrible offence and spent the rest of his life trying to make up for it whereas this is the third time mandleson has been caught with his hand in the cookie jar, he's just a serial pos

Quite agree, in fact I’d go further, John Profumo’s ‘terrible offence’ was to have an affair with a model (his wife stood by him, so take from that what you will), and; what at the time was seen a totally unacceptable; lying to Parliament when he denied having an affair with Christine Keeler. Now Keeler was also sleeping with a senior person at the Soviet embassy, so you can see how it looks(ed) bad; but there was never any real evidence that his actions did any harm to national security.

Profumo resigned from the Cabinet and immediately stood down as an MP. For the rest of his life, he never made any public statement about the events and instead devoted himself to charitable endeavours.

A person who appears to have made a terrible, stupid mistake and voluntarily paid the price, kept his head down and tried to make amends.

So, yeah, exactly like Mandelson......!

This is the worst scandal is a long time in politics IMO. Maybe the worst.

It's bad enough Mandelson was maintaining a friendship with a convicted sex offender, but that's nothing compared to the fact that he was leaking government e-mails and decisions to him. A lot of it was market-sensitive information. Epstein had advanced knowledge of what the cabinet was thinking, what discussions were happening between the UK-US and even knew hours before the rest of the world that Brown was resigning. Mandelson was gloating about his role in it.

... and they argued all night, as to who had the right, to do what and with which and to whom.

That's a shame. He could have been open about it all and avoided all this :naughty:

Looks like nobody at Sandringham wants to work for Mr Mountbatten Windsor.

Can’t imagine why.

I have first hand knowledge of AM-B's poor behaviour. Can't say much more than that other than he was a total pig towards his team. I was once woken up to sort out an unreasonable demand he was making.

Honesty why am I not surprised? From various sources it does seem that he is a really unpleasant human being.

No, those are not birthday strippers but real police men and women! :D

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office

Police say King Charles's brother is in custody and officers are carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk

It comes after Thames Valley Police said they were assessing a complaint over the alleged sharing of confidential material by the former prince with late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein

Andrew, who turns 66 today, has consistently and strenuously denied any wrongdoing.
