People are not going to move; it's about which service to choose when deciding which pay TV Provider to go with for people either re-joining or entering pay TV for the first time. Now that Sky has fibre BB, Atlantic is a good incentive to make Sky the preferred choice.

I don't think I would change from Virgin Media to SKY for all or any of my services! I moan but I do like the rental model of their equipment, got a fault they have to fix it simple :D

I must admit that NOW TV did get me to buy a weeks SKY Sports pass for me was a cannot miss week of live sports events back in the beginning December though :)

People won't move for the sake of one channel which content can be gained easily enough via other means. People will choose the best service for them aka you - virgin media, me-online and on demand etc.

If it becomes apparant that the world is due to end, Virgin Media customers could do worse than tuning into channel 607 for their final closedown message.

They don't. It's a reason not to defect from Sky and it's a reason for those new to pay TV to choose Sky instead of its competitors.

l know quite a few who have left Sky despite them having SA so l don't think its the draw that some would have you believe.

Of course its not everyone's cup of tea that's the beauty of multiple channels however I hardly think you can come to the conclusion it has no pull purely because you know a few who've left Sky.

There's plenty of people on the forums who have left VM , by your way of thinking shall we wrongly assume fibre broadband isn't that much of a pull ?
