Nothing against her, just don't like the idea. Rather just skip a regeneration than whinge about it endlessly. I'm hoping this doesn't have a catastrophic decline now though and effectively end the show. Probably far fetched.

Remember when they thought Chris Evans was best for business regarding Top Gear.

I think many others would as well, and given its ratings in the last 2 years, it doesnt need fans deserting it.

As far as I'm concerned, "The Doctor" is a man, and changing that would just be change for the sake of pc, not the show.

I gave up on it toward the end of David Tennant, this won't encourage me to come back

I've seen Broadchurch nor heard of her, but I'll giver her ago.

I thought Catherine Tate would be awful but was proved wrong.

I'll watch it and see how she does. I don't think it's a big deal really. Doctor Who is ultimately a silly fun show and the gender of the Doctor is not a key part of the show. I can't really see what dynamic would change apart from there being some stories they could do with a female lead. She might be rubbish but then so might have Kris Marshall.

Oh I don’t know, they’ve had every Doctor Who spot-on so far. I was VERY dubious about PC when they announced him, I thought he turned out great.

A crazy idea, but why not watch it to see if she is any good/bad?

Re: Doctor Who

Looking the reaction online most of the anger seems to be that she doesn't have ginger hair...:D

I'm dubious myself..Equality for the sake of it? That's not how I see equality working but then I don't watch it anymore..

Everyone will, especially the “I’m never watching it again” brigade.

Wonder if they'll go for a male assistant then?
