Nah, I have something much better than that to cheer me up. Day off cancelled, which means I get to work with my manager today and tomorrow. Result.

On a brighter note, at least for the rest of us, well done to Heather Watson for becoming Wimbledon mixed doubles champion :cleader::cleader:

I never used to like him, he's gone up in my estimations a lot since the anyone but England and Paraguay shirt days. What he said about fred perry helped, being photographed in a west ham shirt helped even more and his general attitude towards younger players has been exemplary. Can't stand his mum though, pushy old bag.

Maria Sharapova NOT given a wildcard for the French Open this year.

IMO the right decision.

"There can be a wildcard for the return from injuries - there cannot be a wildcard for the return from doping,"

"I'm very sorry for Maria, very sorry for her fans,"

"They might be very disappointed, she might be very disappointed, but it's my responsibility, my mission, to protect the high standards of the game played without any doubt on the result."

Re: Tennis

My views on Murray are well known (and I won't be cheering him on anytime soon) but even I have to admit he did well at the French Open considering he was struggling for fitness and form before the tournament.

Also, nice to see unseeded player in the Women's final tomorrow.

FINALS

Men's Singles

Stanislas Wawrinka (3, SUI) v Rafael Nadal (4, ESP)

Women's Singles

Jelena Ostapenko (LAT) v Simona Halep (3, ROM)

Had a little double on wawrinka winning 3-2 and Nadal winning 3-0, paid out surprisingly little though considering...
